Please Join BOMA and Lindsay Machamer, from the Austin Energy Green Building team on a tour of the new Austin Energy Headquarters. On the tour you will experience the use of natural light, community collaborations spaces, the use of outdoor space, integrated solar and how building allows for work flexibility. The new headquarters has received the following ratings: five star Austin Energy Green Building, LEED-Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council and WELL – Platinum.

The tour will be followed a presentation by Mark Leger, on the latest Austin Energy Green Building (AEGB) Commercial Rating, what to expect and how the AEGB rating strives for market transformation.

Lindsey Machamer is a Project Manager with the Austin Energy Green Building Commercial Team. She is the representative for Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and assists AUS in green building rating for new facilities as well as bringing sustainability to planning and operations. She has a BS in Civil Engineering and a BA in Environmental Studies from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a MS in Engineering Management from Tufts. Lindsey’s past experience involves working as a site civil design engineer in New England with experience in stormwater design, local and state permitting, municipal vulnerability preparedness planning, and

Mark Leger has been with Austin Energy for nearly 10 years, with experience in both Green Building and energy efficiency. At Green Building, he consults with architects and engineers to lessen the environmental impact of buildings and to incorporate design and construction practices that elevate the quality of life of Austin’s residents. Prior to joining Austin Energy, he worked as an acoustical consultant. Mark is both a LEED BD+C AP and WELL AP.
