This course will first cover a commercial lease contract using the Texas Realtors document as a guide with a focus on:

  • Areas where mistakes are often made

  • Operating Expenses and reimbursements for different lease structures

  • Landlord versus Tenant responsibilities for maintenance and repairs

  • Construction issues: when Landlord is responsible for construction and when Tenant is responsible

  • Key negotiated items

  • The course will also do a high level review of the AIA contract for construction between Owner and Contractor


Instructor:
Cliff J Bogart, CCIM
Cliff is a commercial leasing practitioner since 1979 of the Dallas, Houston and Austin Markets.  He has been an MCE course writer and instructor.  Cliff is now also a CCIM instructor teaching a CI 101 (Financial Analysis), CI 103 (User Decision Analysis) and CI Intro.
