Speakers:
Veronica Moreno joined HPI in April 2018.  As a Property Manager with HPI, Veronica is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, accounting, budgeting, and maintenance of her mixed property portfolio which includes several industrial buildings, an office building, and a Property Owner Association (POA), totaling over 680,000 SF. Veronica began working in the real estate industry in 2001, her experiences include: On-Boarding Training for Service Agreement Processes & APM/PM duties for HPI, Fleet (vehicle) Management, Multi-Family Property Management, and Commercial Property Management with the State of Texas agency, Texas Facilities Commission, which she handled the management of over 1.5M square feet of state office buildings that included the procurement and management of a multi-million dollar “out buildings” contract, prior to her starting at HPI. She had been a licensed Texas Realtor for 8 years, before attaining her State of Texas, Certified Texas Contract Manager (CTCM), and is a current member with BOMA; actively co-chair of the Education Committee.

David Schott joined Stream Realty in June of 2022 to oversee the operations and maintenance of 600 Congress. David is the Senior Building Operations Manager for 600 Congress Ave and Foundry I &II. David is a former president of AAFAME, David has been maintaining properties for over 25 years in Austin and surrounding areas. David has worked with all types of commercial properties and understands the unique needs and challenges for each asset.

  • Understanding and identifying when you should submit an RFP to contractors.

  • How to write an effective RFP: 

    • Scope of Work (SOW) details, 

    • Subject Matter Expert (SME) input & assistance with Requests for Information (RFI’s).

    • Specifying proposal type - Lump Sum, Time & Materials, Not To Exceed(NTE).

  • RFP time management when conducting walk throughs.

  • Bid comparisons, and negotiations.

  • Decision Making: 

    • Accepting the proposal, including insurance (COI) requirements, property rules & regulations, and the contract.

    • Respectfully denying the proposal.
